We offer a variety of finish options for aluminum CNC parts. Each option improves performance and appearance to meet different needs:
Anodizing: This process uses electrolysis to form an oxide layer on the surface of aluminum. It enhances corrosion resistance and increases surface hardness, while also providing decorative color. This process is therefore ideally suited to the processing needs of outdoor parts such as architectural frames, automotive components and electronic housings.
Powder Coating: A powder coating is applied to aluminum parts and then cured at high temperatures. This creates a strong protective layer. These protective layers increase wear and corrosion resistance. Powder coating is available in a wide range of colors and gloss effects and is commonly used for furniture, equipment housings and architectural products.
Black Oxide: This chemical process gives aluminum a black surface and enhances rust resistance. It is used for applications that require a non-reflective surface, such as optical or military equipment.
Sandblasting: Aluminum surfaces are sandblasted by spraying fine particles under high pressure. This removes burrs and produces a matte texture. It is often used as a pretreatment for mechanical parts and decorative components to improve the appearance and texture of the product.
Electroplating: In this method, a metal layer such as nickel or chromium is plated on aluminum parts. It improves corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity. It also increases surface luster, making it suitable for electronic components and precision parts that require high conductivity.
Polishing: The surface is mechanically polished to obtain a high gloss, smooth finish. This technique is ideal for parts that require a mirror-like finish, such as automotive parts, reflectors and instrument panels.
Brushed Finish: Mechanical polishing creates a linear texture on the aluminum surface. This gives it a metallic look and helps hide minor scratches. This is the best choice for furniture, appliances and consumer electronics.
